Call of Duty 4 is the FPS set in modern days developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision costing around $60.00. It has DLC for $4.99 which adds 4 new maps (Creek, Killhouse, Chinatown, and Broadcast). The developer confirmed no Trophy support Patches to come.
Singleplayer: you either play as Soap Mactavish a British SAS, or Private Jackson a U.S.M.C. soldier. There’s war in Russia, Ultra nationalist and Loyalist are fighting or control and there is Nukes at stake, this is where you play as Soap. In the middle east you are stopping the rebellion over there, this is where you play as Jackson. the campaign is a bit short, but unlocking cheats throughout the game make you wanna replay it over and over again.
Multiplayer: This is one a the best things about the game, it can have 2-18 players. The multiplayer is fun, easy, and addicting. There are too many game modes to go into details to but one of the best in the game is “Sabotage”, Each team has to Destroy the other teams base while defending there own. Too make it more challenging there is only one bomb to use and is located at the middle of the map. Another thing that keeps player going back is the variety of unlocks and customization in the game. You start out as a private and for all the points you gain you rank up, unlocking weapons, perks, and customizable classes soon on. And the variety of maps is also amazing. It can be from Bogs, to T.V. stations ,and even creeks. There is also this option called “Prestige” which I wont reveal because id rather let you figure out what it is.
Controls: When you first start playing the controls will be really easy to pick up. If the simple and memorable controls don’t help there is a training level which will show you many of the mechanics of the game. even so calling in helicopters is as simple as pressing the left button on the D-Pad.
The sound is some of the most realistic you will ever hear. Everything sounds like you would think it would. You really have to think what trouble Infinity Ward went through to get those sounds.
Visuals: as well as sound its extremely realistic. It still looks good on a standard television and I have never seen more beautiful explosions in a game before. Its goes by smoothly and cleanly all throughout the game.
Overall: The game is one of the best out there. The Single player is a bit short but with some if its features it will keep you going back for more. The multiplayer is the best thing about it, nearly no flaws and it has MAJOR replay value. I found no letdowns at all ,the game is just awesome. I Highly recommend this game.
