Example: Clan 1 challenges Clan 2. They go for a 3 round game. Clan 1 wins them all. They are now 1-0. The basic scoring system is this formula: W-L #-# Whoever has more wins than the other clan is considered the dominant force. ______________________ Chapter 4 A Word About Hacking and Why Its NOT Tolerated Hacking. Otherwise known as cheating or ruining peoples gaming experience for either: - To rank up in games quick - To make people mad. Whatever its used for I and MILLIONS of other gamers DONT TOLERATE HACKING. We don't hack during clan matches. And I don't even hack off clan matches neither. (I dun no how lolz) So whatever you do: Don't hack. Otherwise you ruin other peoples money by making the game seem awful. Which has happened with numerous other psp games, most notably the SOCOM series. And now Syphon Filter and Renegade Squadron are starting to get riddled with them. Word Of Advice: Make the hackers as miserable as you can. Whatever you can do to make them leave your server. Do it. (Don't hack them. Thats hypocrisy) I'm talking like standing there and freezing them repeatedly with the carbon cannon, or totally just annoying the heck out of them. ____________________________ Chapter 5 Just 4 FUN Glitches (I'm still awaiting MachuX's chapter... ) Just because your still waiting and I am passing by... Mines of Doom: Observations: Works on any map and game mode. best used in CTF game mode. Requirements: A Control Post, 5 mines (if you want to do motion detector), a Detpack set. Instructions: 1. Go to a CT and get a Detpack set. 2. Drop a Detpack, enter again in the CT. 3. Exit the weapon selection menu. 4. Repeat Phase 2 & 3 until you have as many explosive charges (detpacks placed) you want. Optional: Before putting the detpacks (or after) put 5 proximity mines and place them in the field where you want to protect. Notes: Don't use this on any match unless its only for this kind of fun. May cause a variable fraps lag (from null to HUGE) Credits: Me... like a long time ago... got placed this in my old Clan Forum in GS but idk wheres the post... Or at least i was the first to use this In-Space Vehicle Turbo Glitch Observations: You can go as fast as you can, best used in an interceptor class starfighter (Tri-fighter/A-Wing/Jedi Starfighter/Tie Interceptor) or any high tech fighter (B-Wing and Tie Defender). Best used in CTF Space Mode. Requirements: Any space vehicle. Instructions: Just press and realease (as fast as you finger/s can) the Turbo (Sprint) Button of the vehicle to have infinite (or almost) Turbo. Credits: Me and anyone who has figured out this... Note: With this you can do something like space races , but you will need some buddys to try to crash the other players ! Hoth Just 4 Fun Can't rememmber this one so well, but... In the panel where you use to destry with a Turbo laser turret the AT-ATs in the Campaing, when you have a lot of buddies having Max Sprint On and all jumping on it, sometime you will get out of the map limits where you can do anything you want. Best used with a Jetpack or a Sniper for being able to watch people wanting to go where you are ^^. More comming when I can rememmber more :P. You can also say any J 4 F glitches. The author of this Chapter rememmber you that the use of any of this glitches are for players fun (NOT for annoy others) and you must know that the use of this are of your own and the author DOESN'T takes the responsability of the player's ACTIONS or DECISIONS. Written by MachuX/MXMach. PS: I have one glitch that have never founded out how to remake it... its making your flames (from Flamethrowers) stay there just like the Carbonite Freezer Light's glitch but the fire animation dosen't move or damage anybody. If anyone knows about how to make this, tell me. Chapter 6 The Ultimate Stratedgy Guide To Clan Battles CONQUEST Send 2 people with invisibility to spawn points that aren't much payed attention to. Then send brute force to buy time. Meanwhile send a duo with fast speed health and stamina, to the remaining checkpoints. When the brute force die, they can respawn at the newly taken over capture points. Repeat process with others. CTF Send three brute force out to go deal with the other temas grunts. Send a decoy to "go for the flag", and manuver as many enemy clan grunts out of the way as possible. Send an invisible to grab the flag and go back. Rinse repeat. If your goin up against hackers...on CTF IF THEY DON'T DIE, get people with Carbonite Freeze Guns to hold him off while others get the flag! If your goin up against hackers...on Conquest If they are no clipping or going through the walls, try and fake them out, and hit them with a carbon cannon, then three quick shots from your grenade launcher should work fine. Keep a partner nearby to keep shooting him with a carbon cannon. If they have unlimited health. Theres nothing you can do, but stall him to allow your other team members to get more kills. This guide will be updated properly when new strategies come up. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Hacking, glitching, and using stealth I am no fan of cheating. If there is one specific type of player in RS that I hate, its the invisible one who can't die and insists on using the hacked machine gun rocket launcher. My advice to any of you who see a hacker/glitcher/invisible person is to either A. run in the opposite direction, B. quit the server, or C. annoy the heck out of them by freezing them repeatedly. As for stealth users, I have a few different methods for dealing with them. Step 1 is finding them, which is not easy. They could reveal themselves to you by shooting at you or getting hurt. Another good indicator is when you see one of your command posts changing from blue to white to red without anyone visible standing next to it, or if you see the "Lock On" signal appear on your screen even if there are no enemies you can see around you. Step 2 is dealing with them. The best way is to use an explosive or wide area damage weapons, because they cause a lot of hurt in an enlarged space. If a player is using stealth, and they get hurt, they become visible. Highly localized weapons, like chainguns, EMP's, or explosive pistols aren't as good for this purpose as incinerators, rocket launchers, bowcasters, and grenades. Once you can see them, it's easy enough to kill them since you can now lock on. Guided Rockets are also a pain in the butt. They are cheap and hard to avoid, but if you know what you are doing you can dodge them with ease. I find that jumping with the jump pack works the best if they are coming at you head on, since Guided rockets are bad with sharp turns and terrible with 180 degree turnarounds. Otherwise, try to sprint off to one side or jumping around works too. Special Items In the big book, Ethan didn't comment much on special items, so that’s what this section is for. Here are a few helpful hints based on my experience. Supply Pack: This is vital for people with small health, or if you are a bodyguard. This is an item which drops health and ammo canisters on the battlefield for you to pick up. Use it to heal teammates, too. Auto turret: Drops a small turret onto the field which automatically shoots at nearby enemies. A line of these defending a command post is terrifying. Recon Droid: A remote controlled droid which is armed with both a small blaster and a self destruct. I don't use it - it takes too long to self destruct and it's blaster is about as useful as the hand pistol. Stealth suit: Not for people who want to join the SWB: RS clan here at PDC. This is a cheap way of killing someone. If someone does use this, at least they will become visible when they shoot. Not any consolation if you are hit by the carbonite cannon, but any other weapon will at least give you a sporting chance. Note: People often recommend this for new players, which is a bad idea. After a while they will become used to it, and when told to stop, it becomes that much harder to learn to play without dying. Jet pack: Useful for getting to high places, such as the towers in Kaskyyyk and the garrison on Sullust, if you don't want to use the stairs. Also makes you a difficult target. People using jetpacks are hard to hit because they are so high up and they move so fast. Jump Pack: Basically a more limited version of a jetpack. This is my default special item because it gets you high in the air quickly and you don't have to press any buttons to go higher. Control is difficult to figure out though. Personal Shield: Excellent if you are a flag carrier. A force field around you that will protect you until it runs out. Limits movement, so you can't run. Different maps call for different tactics Echo Base: This is one of the easier maps to work out, and it works well with two-flag capture the flag and conquests You need: four members. Two of them should be very proficient with bow. Loadout: The two that are good with bow should have this loadout: Bowcaster Grenade Launcher Proximity Mines Level 3 capturing The other two should have: Rocket Launchers Grenade Launchers Proximity mines and anything else really, the above three are the only essential ones. Step 1. Have the two people with bow capture all command posts except the look out bunker (this is where the level three capture rate comes into play) and flush out any enemies in the tunnels. The bow is, in my opinion, the best weapon for a one on one. Step 2. Have the other two lay proximity mines at the mouth of the look out bunker. Once step 2 is done, the other two should rendezvous at the lookout bunker and lay their mines. Detpacks work well too. Step 3. What you've just done is to put your enemy into a bottle, then seal the bottle. This leaves you free to capture the flag at your leisure. If it is a conquest and/or you are feeling particularly murderous, feel free to shoot a few rockets in there. Grenade launchers work well too in such a confined space. If you are dealing with a lot of computer enemies, the grenade launcher works best, because it deals a lot of damage and computers rarely have more than level 1 health. With grenade launcher, I have killed up to five computers in one shot. Other tips and tricks: Pincer: Post one man straight ahead of an enemy and two to the side. This works well with enemies coming out of buildings (Geonosis, Tatooine, and Mustafar.) Pick enemies off one by one as they go. When the enemy sees the player that is ahead, they will move toward him. As they come between the two players that are off to the side, they are caught in a deadly crossfire. The two to the side should be snipers, so you can hit them from far off without them suspecting it. They are trapped, because if they try to move forward or retreat, they are hit by the player up in front; if they try to get either one of the snipers on the side, they are hit by the other sniper. Double Cross: Two players, each on one side of a group of enemies, simultaneously jump over and fire while in the air. This got its name because both players cross over at the same time, and the move, if performed well, is extremely confusing to the enemy. The Board: Ever try to actually hit someone with an orbital strike? This is ridiculously difficult, but this new technique is great for those who want to easily kill with pinpoint accuracy. Just move into the middle of the group of people, stand still, and have the person shoot at you. The only way I know to kill people on your own team is to run them over with a tank, so the OS won’t do one bit of damage. (I used this technique on an unsuspecting group of hackers on my own team during a dedicated server war ) What to Do When It's Coming For You - A Guide on How to Avoid Various Weapons Shotgun: Back away! Shotguns only work well up close, so hit him with a long range weapon. Sniper Rifle: Zigzag. It's almost impossible for a sniper to hit a fast moving target. Then, utilize his weakness and when you get close enough, you can kill him easily. Freeze Gun: Same thing with sniper rifle: zigzag. Orbital Strike: There are many players who use alt and shoot OS at the ground while quickly running away. Here's how to avoid it: 1. Never, ever try to run through an os. That's a sure way to get yourself killed. Instead, run around. 2. Always run away from the center of an os, never toward it. 3. If you are caught in an os, not all is lost: you can still run away from the center andescape with only minimal damage. Rocket Launcher: Zigzag! Players using alt can't hit a moving target very easily, especially if the weapon that they're using cant lock on. I'll put more in this guide later.
