Today I got home from school and found out I got my steaming disc for the Netflix service, and although I haven't installed it yet but Joystiq, and Kotaku are reporting that the service is up and running. I'm going to install later tonight, or tomorrow morning, but has anyone else received their disc and tried out the service yet?

Quote You don't purchase it, but you have to pay for a Netflix subscription, and reserve a disc so you would get one. Quote You need a disc because Netflix and MSoft have an exclusivity contract on a software version of Netflix instant streaming, and the disc is the only way around that for now. |

Well why can't you just rent videos off the Playstation Store?

Quote No one says you can't, but the main difference between this and renting the movies off of the store is that Netflix streaming only costs $8.99 a month for a massive library of movies and TV shows you can watch whenever you want, and renting them off the PSS will cost you money for each show/movie you want to see. Anyway I tried this out last night, and it works just fine, but my main problem lies with the speed of moving from one title to the next. Its rather slow, and when you have a lot of stuff in your queue trying to get to one specific item can take a while. That really my only gripe about it though, and other than that I love it. |

My email said they were giving me a 2 week free trial. Does anyone know the pros and cons about this? Even though it says free trial when I'm selecting my plan, the prices are still there. Plus they're asking for an address. I know they need that for sending out movies, but will I get charged at the end of the trial? Is it really free?
