the problem is probably only temporary, happened to my psp and it went away after a little while

It will only stay unresponsive unless you take the faceplate off (will void warrenty) and then you clean out that area.

Otherwise,you may contact Sony and let them fix it thus keeping your warranty up.

on the psp-3004 i had the same problem.
i go to the shop and they gave it to sony. and sony gave me a new one. |

You can take the facplate off or leave it alone and send it to sony.
